'Horch', meaning 'listen' in German, becomes 'audi' in Latin. The four rings of the Audi logo each represent one of four car companies that banded together to create Audi's predecessor company, Auto Union. Audi's slogan is Vorsprung durch Technik, meaning 'Being Ahead through Technology'. The new sound logo will play at the end of future advertising commercials on TV and radio, as well as all BMW product and brand films. It will be introduced worldwide in 2013 and used in each country's national brand communications. Rollout will begin in mid-March in the French and the UK market. It can be seen as the acoustic equivalent. Audi, for a long time, has been strong in the area of sound.
